Confidence

Good morning, Lord
Father in Heaven, open my heart and mind, Holy Spirit. Fill my consciousness and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…Memory verse: 1 John 1:8–9
8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the
truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and
just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness.
Verse of the day: Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
Today’s reading: Proverbs 16-18 2 Corinthians 6
Confidence
Think about this for a minute: Is there someone in whom you have complete confidence? You can always trust what this person says. They are encouraging and always helpful or ready to help. This person has never made you feel less than you are and you always feel welcomed and loved in their presence.
Paul writes to the Corinthians in 2 Corinthians, chapter 7, that he is so very proud of the way they are behaving and treating people with love, respect, and reverence because of their devotion to Christ. The last statement he makes is:
"I am glad I can have such complete confidence in you."
Complete confidence-how many people have complete confidence in anyone? This kind of trust is a precious thing and I believe it is divinely given. This kind of trust is earned by a heart that is seen by others to be a Godly heart.
I know you want folks to have complete confidence in you; I do.
Be a person of your word-our word is only as good as our behavior shows it to be. So we must not only be a person of our own word but we must be a person of God's word.
1 Peter 4:11 Holy and mighty God, if anyone speaks, direct them to do so as one who speaks Your very words. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength You provide, so that in all things You may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
Make this a matter of prayer for yourself. This is not a selfish prayer. For someone to have total confidence in you-it is because they can see Jesus in you.(I know it is hard but we can’t worry about the non-believing wicked. Proverbs 29:27 says, “he who is upright in the way is an abomination to the wicked.")
Let the world see Jesus in You-to Him be the power and the glory forever and ever.
God will add the rest.
...because He loves us...
Father in Heaven,
To Your name be the power and glory forever and ever. Lead me in living by Your will. Make me a person of your word. Forgive me for not being truthful.
Gracious and glorious God,
In the name of Christ Jesus,
Amen
