Beyond Explanation

Good morning, Lord

Verse of the Day:   And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs.—Mark 16:20

Memory verse: Romans 8:32 ►He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Today's reading: LEVITICUS 15-16 MATTHEW 27:1-26


Beyond Explanation


Paul prays for us:(Ephesians 3:19)  "...and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."

Paul prays for us to know the 'unknowable'-to know God's love is to know the love that cannot be expained. To know Jesus and be found in Him is to know the love of God that has given His son to pay for our sins.

The world cannot understand it. But the blessing of God is:

17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and will be in you. (John 14)

In Christ, we know the unknowable-we have the peace that cannot be explained away that guards our hearts and minds:

Philippians 4:7 ►And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

The 'unknowable' and 'inexplicable'  we can both know and understand while the enemy stands off at a distance and makes light of our ignorance. Yes, the enemy knows scripture and can quote it, but we know the very author of scripture-we know his love and peace and we learn the power of the resurrection(Philippians 3:10).

This is the reason for our witness to Christ before the world. We have what they cannot have without Jesus Christ. Our witness to them will only be what is can be when we are  seeking His kingdom with all our hearts.

Beyond explanation? It is given to us by God to explain what we know... we know Jesus.

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

Forgive me my shallow understanding. I want to know as much as I can so I may speak for You with authority.
