Good morning, Lord

Verse of the Day:   But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy." —1 Peter 1:15-16

Memory verse: Romans 8:32 ►He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Today's reading: EXODUS 25-26 MATTHEW 20:17-34

Ask Receive Follow

Jesus asked the two blind men, “What do you want me to do for you?”

Wherever you are in life, you are in need of more of God. It is always supplied and ready for use but we must tell God what we want.

Tell God exactly what you need. Don't hold anything back. Tell God your fears. Confess your deepest feelings and then tell God what you want.

The two blind men said, "Lord, open our eyes".

It does not say that Jesus gave them their sight. The Bible says they received it...

The Complete Jewish Bible translation says  Jesus was 'filled with tenderness' when He heard the need voiced from the blind men.

Whatever it is, ask. In perfect tenderness the Lord hears your need as you voice it and then you gladly receive it. God provides all we need in full loving kindness and joy.

Then, we are free to move and follow God utilizing all He has so completely provided.

Ask-receive-follow.

Our tender Lord loves us so much...

Father in Heaven,

Forgive me for being in sin and not even knowing what I need to see and ask for. Help me train my heart and mind to see my deepest need for your kingdom.

Tender and merciful God,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
