Good morning, Lord
Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…
Memory verse: Psalm 27:13-14 (NIV)
“I remain confident of this, I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”
Verse of the day: Psalm 19:14
14 “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.”
Today’s reading: Isaiah 47-49 1 Thessalonians 4
Do As I Have Done
Jesus taught us to let our light shine…to bring glory to His Father in Heaven(Matthew 5:11-16). Then He did just that.
In the darkest time of the life of Christ Jesus, His light shown the brightest.
John 12:27 “Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour’? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour. 28 Father, glorify your name!” Then a voice came from heaven, “I have glorified it, and will glorify it again.”
Jesus did what He did for the Glory of His Father in Heaven and, I believe, so that we could see Him do what He taught. He is our ultimate example of bringing the light of God to the lost. He gave everything He had to give to bring Glory to God.
The question for us is what can we do-where do we need to be spiritually to be fully invested-heart, soul and, mind-in bringing glory to God?
This will make no sense to the ones who do not treasure the Glory of God above all else.
Our lives here are to let the world see God’s glory in our lives shine in our works-our love-our compassion because we have sought it out and know His glory personally.
Pray for this to be your heart cry-to know God’s glory.
...because he loves you, He will do it…
Father In Heaven,
Show me Your glory and the glory of your kingdom. Give me today what you know I need. Forgive me for ignoring Your presence. Lead me away from wickedness.
Father of all,
In the name of Christ Jesus,
Amen
