Good morning, Lord

Verse of the Day: Luke 2:28-32

he took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said: “Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, According to Your word; For my eyes have seen Your salvation Which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of Your people Israel.”

Today's reading: ZECHARIAH 1-4 REVELATION 18

After the Rain

It rained as hard as I could remember the day after Christmas in 2018. But the next morning, after the rain, the day was absolutely beautiful. Everything was washed clean and the sun was perfect and it was so still and peaceful. That has happened countless times before and it will continue until the Lord returns.

Lamentations 3:22-23 English Standard Version (ESV)

22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;

his mercies never come to an end;

23 they are new every morning;

great is your faithfulness.

If you woke up with worries on your mind, it is time to take those thoughts and lock them away. Again: the only thing we will ever actually control in this life is our own mind-so do all you can do and rest in the new mercies of the Lord this morning.

Look into the morning sky and see God's love and peace.

No, I have no idea of your troubles but God knows it all and He never stops caring for you. God never has a moment when His heart is not full of love for you. God always has plans for your best.

Jeremiah 29:11 New International Version (NIV)

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Romans 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.…

Whether it is raining or sun shining, the peace of God is always ours to rest in.

Hebrews 10:23

Let us hold resolutely to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.

if all this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

Ephesians 2:14-For He, himself, is our peace...

The blessings of this day are for you. Handle with the wisdom of Jesus.

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

My worries are heavy-forgive me for worrying and teach me how not to...

Your peace is so deep and wide.

Mighty God of all peace!
