20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

A Special Truth

Easter, the day we celebrate the resurrection of Christ, is just around the corner and I believe we should approach this day in light of a special truth.

Ephesians 2:6 “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.”

Colossians 2:12And having been buried with Him in baptism, you were raised with Him through your faith in the power of God, who raised Him from the dead.”

It is time to celebrate the resurrection of Christ, yes, absolutely-it is time to celebrate this everyday. But not so fast-we are resurrected with Christ and seated with Him-at God’s right hand...

Colossians 3:1-3Therefore, since you have been raised with Christ, strive for the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. / Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. / For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

In Ephesians 2:6, the translation says, ‘seated together’-we are seated together ‘in Christ’ at God’s right hand.

This is a place of honor and responsibility and is taken far too lightly. In fact, we hardly ever hear of it at Easter time. So as you prepare in ‘your’ way for the resurrection celebration, keep in mind that Christ was raised so we could be raised with Him and seated with him at The Father’s right hand.

This is a ‘Special Truth’ that God will make real when we realize our blessed we are.

Meditate on that…

...because He loves us...He will do it…

Father in Heaven,

At Your right hand-help me realize how great is Your name. Let me realize how great Your kingdom is. Give me today the strength to grasp Your holiness.
