Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

Memory verse: Psalm 27:13-14 (NIV)

I remain confident of this, I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

Verse of the day: John 17:17

17 “Make them ready for your service through your truth. Your word is truth.”

Today’s reading: Ezekiel 8-10 Hebrews 13

Time For A Reminder

Ephesians 4:31–32 (ESV)

31 "Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you."

"This how I am and will always be. My family situation was not a good one. There was always strife and anger and unforgiveness. So that is why I am the way I am", the man explained to one of his co-workers.

This is a tragedy in some lives. But do we have to stay the same?

Paul wrote to get rid of all the old bitterness and anger and wrath and slander-along with all malice. One dictionary says malice is:

"desire to cause pain, injury, or distress to another."

There it is-the 'desire'...

God wants us to know, by speaking through Paul, that we can change-if we choose change. Big if….but...

If we have accepted Christ and are born of His Spirit, indeed His Spirit will change us from what the world had molded us in to the image of Christ-from glory to glory.

2 Corinthians 3:18 ►"And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."(Also, Romans 8:29)

This is a reminder that around the Holidays, some of us will see again folks or find ourselves in circumstances that 'strike our last nerve'.

This is a reminder to put on the armor of God(Ephesians 6:10-18) and let your gentleness(His gentleness) be evident to all around(Philippians 4:5).

What a surprise to some that you are not the same old 'grouch'-you seem to have 'softened' some.

The main thing is that we all individually know that we have the mind of Christ and the Holy Spirit and that from our lives are to run divine rivers of living water.

Pray that You run living and loving water this Holiday season for the good pleasure of our mighty God in Christ Jesus and for joy with your family.

...because He loves us, He will do it...

Father in Heaven,

Your name is living water running through my life and Your kingdom. I ask that I am awake and aware and ask for Your bread to share Your joy. Forgive me my sin. Lead me away from all malice.

Father of all grace and peace,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
