Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

Memory verse: Joshua 1:9

9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Verse of the day- 1 Peter 1:18-19

18 “knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.”

 Today’s reading: 2 Samuel 19-20 Luke 18:1-23

Living A Life of Forgiveness

The time has come for us-any and all of us who say we belong to Jesus-to cast this anxiety upon the Lord(1 Peter 5:6&7)-to humble ourselves under God’s hand and confess our hard feelings and grudges and call them what they are-hate-sin, plain and simple truth.

John 15:11-(Jesus said) “I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.”

John 14:26-(Jesus said) “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”

Get in front of God and wake up and be ‘God-conscious’ and see your heart and what you hide there and tell God the truth and forgive so you will be forgiven.

Matthew 6:15- “But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”

The joy of Christ will never be complete in us if we do not forgive.

But, when we let it go and give it God, we are on our way to being full of a peace that defies explanation.

Yes, it takes work-grinding in your own mind of just how to let hate and hard feelings die. It takes repentance. That word means to ‘pivot’-to turn completely away from it and walk toward the Lord. This is hard stuff for a proud mind. That is why 1 Peter 5:6&7 starts with “humble yourself before the Lord”. Our entire existence begins with humbling ourselves before the Lord-every day as we take up our individual crosses(Luke 9:23) and make the choice to follow Jesus.

Psalm 16:11- “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.“

Find His presence-grasp His right hand.

...because He loves us… He will do it…

Father in Heaven,

Hallowed be Your name. I want to be in Your presence and feel Your pleasure at Your right hand. Forgive me for lying to myself and to You. Lead me away from hate.

God of joyful fullness and divine pleasures,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
