When You Pray

“And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.” Luke 18:1

“Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” John 16:24

“How much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” Luke 11:13

‘Not Lose Heart’-how much could be done in this world if we followers of Christ had the heart for whatever is in front of us in God’s work?

Pray to have the heart and pray to not lose it.

How about real joy instead of empty smiles and false laughter?

Jesus said to ask for it-ask that your joy is full-full joy-not hungry joy-but satisfied joy-not needy joy but fat and full joy for His glory.

Pray for more of the Holy Spirit-yes, ask for it in the name of Christ Jesus and He says He will give all we want. So how much Holy Spirit do you want? Tell the Lord you want all He wants you to have. That verse says “How much more will God give us if we just ask.”

Ask for the heart God wants you to have and keep-the heart full of joy and full of the Holy Spirit to walk in and live in.

This is not a dream-this is God’s reality for those who are brave enough to ask.

Confess what you are clutching-guilt or shame or whatever it is and cry to God for His restoration and provision.

...because He loves us...He will do it…

Father in Heaven,

Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come-all the glory and power and desire in my heart to abide in You.

Forgive me for my unbelief. Deliver me from wickedness.
